Message from Chairman of the Board
Welcome to the Chamber
I am grateful for the opportunity to serve this year as the Board Chairman for the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce. We are extremely fortunate to be led by such a talented, dedicated leadership, including our staff, board, ambassador group and volunteer organization that serve the needs of nearly 500 Chamber members.
2015 presents a wealth of opportunities and challenges for Batesville, Independence County, and the surrounding trade area. This Chamber understands that situation and is well positioned to provide the guidance, training, and education to help our members grow and prosper during the coming year.
Building upon the success of past initiatives, including "Leadership Batesville," our Chamber of Commerce offers important programs and benefits that focus on improving commerce and the quality of life in our region. One new program, "Business in Heels," will help today's business women learn how to thrive in today's economy by taking advantage of the real-world experiences and practical tips of their successful colleagues and mentors.
The Chamber will provide timely and critical information on business trends and legislative proposals that will impact our members' operations. North Central Arkansas has several newly elected state and local elected officials, so we will keep members abreast of developing issues and share their contact information to make certain that our voices are heard.
The vitality of the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce helps ensure the strength of the business climate in our region. Time and again, we have successfully promoted consensus among the public and private sectors to reach solutions that benefit everyone.
That is how we have grown the Batesville area and that is how we will continue to nurture our collective progress in 2015 and beyond. We look forward to working with you this year to achieve our goals and yours.
Phil Baldwin, BACC Board Chairman
